Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Insurance and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.39% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.69% or 11.90 points to trade at 221.00 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 2.12% or 0.58 points to end at 27.90 and Cosumar (CS:CSMR) was up 1.91% or 3 points to 181 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliances (CS:ADI), which lost 6.94% or 10 points to trade at 134 in late trade. Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) declined 6.00% or 18.90 points to end at 296.10 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) shed 5.81% or 14.95 points to 242.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.25% or 0.72 to $57.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.32% or 0.20 to hit $65.06 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.39% or 16.60 to trade at $1177.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.19% to 10.7490, while USD/MAD fell 0.26% to 9.8850.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 97.06.
