Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Utilities and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.99% or 10.70 points to trade at 189.30 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 5.83% or 70 points to end at 1270 and Risma (CS:RIS) was up 4.48% or 4.80 points to 111.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Involys (CS:INV), which lost 8.95% or 11.80 points to trade at 120.00 in late trade. Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) declined 4.87% or 174 points to end at 3395 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) shed 4.54% or 6.00 points to 126.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.45% or 0.66 to $44.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.28% or 0.60 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1358.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 10.8450, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.8265.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 96.65.
