Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Holding Companies and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND), which rose 5.70% or 16.90 points to trade at 313.00 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) added 3.58% or 4.85 points to end at 140.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 3.57% or 3.00 points to 87.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliances (CS:ADI), which lost 10.00% or 14 points to trade at 124 in late trade. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 3.19% or 30 points to end at 910 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) shed 2.77% or 4.00 points to 140.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.90% or 0.53 to $59.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.80% or 0.53 to hit $66.36 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.50% or 30.30 to trade at $1179.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.19% to 10.8580, while USD/MAD fell 0.16% to 9.7287.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.28.
