Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Forestry & Paper and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which rose 3.48% or 0.91 points to trade at 27.01 at the close. Lydec (CS:LYD) added 2.79% or 12.00 points to end at 442.00 and CTM (CS:CTM) was up 1.26% or 5.00 points to 400.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which lost 5.97% or 12.00 points to trade at 189.00 in late trade. Involys (CS:INV) declined 5.96% or 8.85 points to end at 139.50 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) shed 4.85% or 1.99 points to 39.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.00% or 0.60 to $59.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.27% or 0.83 to hit $64.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.40% or 4.70 to trade at $1194.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.29% to 10.7490, while USD/MAD rose 0.42% to 9.8481.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.68% at 97.60.
