Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Insurance and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which rose 6.83% or 85 points to trade at 1329 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 6.59% or 6.00 points to end at 97.00 and Eqdom (CS:EQDM) was up 4.17% or 44 points to 1100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM), which lost 5.20% or 14.50 points to trade at 264.50 in late trade. Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) declined 3.56% or 4.10 points to end at 111.00 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) shed 3.03% or 1.58 points to 50.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.20% or 0.10 to $50.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $52.95 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1282.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.15% to 10.7570, while USD/MAD fell 0.24% to 10.0052.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 99.56.
