Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Construction & Building Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.98% or 6 points to trade at 65 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 5.36% or 4.40 points to end at 86.40 and Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) was up 5.26% or 5.00 points to 100.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM), which lost 10.00% or 18.70 points to trade at 168.30 in late trade. Taslif (CS:TSF1) declined 5.98% or 2.32 points to end at 36.42 and Maghrebail (CS:MAB) shed 5.66% or 45 points to 750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $52.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $58.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.30 to trade at $1161.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.40% to 10.8480, while USD/MAD fell 0.78% to 9.7272.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 96.04.
