Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Pharmaceutical Industry and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 7.74% or 12 points to trade at 164 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) added 6.31% or 8.90 points to end at 150.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 3.70% or 5.00 points to 140.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which lost 6.34% or 3.86 points to trade at 57.04 in late trade. CDM (CS:CDM) declined 5.33% or 26 points to end at 470 and Disway SA (CS:DWY) shed 3.81% or 15.00 points to 379.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 19 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.25% or 1.09 to $47.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.79% or 0.92 to hit $50.43 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1203.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.7090, while USD/MAD rose 0.02% to 10.0600.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 101.41.
