Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical Industry and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which rose 5.75% or 55 points to trade at 1014 at the close. Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) added 5.07% or 108 points to end at 2240 and Sothema (CS:SOT) was up 3.83% or 48 points to 1300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which lost 5.90% or 38 points to trade at 614 in late trade. Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) declined 2.99% or 10.15 points to end at 329.85 and CTM (CS:CTM) shed 2.88% or 16.00 points to 540.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.77% or 1.33 to $46.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.62% or 0.81 to hit $49.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.17% or 15.75 to trade at $1330.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.16% to 10.9270, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.6972.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 94.70.
