Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Distributors and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Label Vie (CS:LBV), which rose 5.97% or 72 points to trade at 1277 at the close. M2M Group (CS:M2M) added 5.94% or 11.95 points to end at 213.00 and Salafin (CS:SLF) was up 5.93% or 38 points to 678 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliances (CS:ADI), which lost 3.51% or 2 points to trade at 55 in late trade. Risma (CS:RIS) declined 2.68% or 5.25 points to end at 189.95 and S2M (CS:S2M) shed 1.88% or 3.95 points to 206.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 16 and 2 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.62% or 0.77 to $48.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.46% or 0.24 to hit $53.72 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.50 to trade at $1095.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 10.8280, while USD/MAD rose 0.37% to 9.8098.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 96.75.
