Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Insurance and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 10.00% or 5 points to trade at 54 at the close. Disway (CS:DWAY) added 5.75% or 11.50 points to end at 211.50 and Maghrebail (CS:MAB) was up 5.64% or 42 points to 795 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which lost 6.00% or 6.30 points to trade at 98.70 in late trade. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) declined 5.42% or 46 points to end at 802 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 4.48% or 3.90 points to 83.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.29% or 1.20 to $51.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.03% or 0.58 to hit $56.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.75% or 8.60 to trade at $1161.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 10.8180, while USD/MAD fell 0.38% to 9.7710.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 96.38.
