Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Forestry & Paper and Electrical & Electronic equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.97% or 11.60 points to trade at 205.60 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 5.96% or 5.90 points to end at 104.80 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) was up 5.35% or 1.07 points to 21.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which lost 5.65% or 10.75 points to trade at 179.25 in late trade. CDM (CS:CDM) declined 4.66% or 19 points to end at 386 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) shed 3.84% or 1.65 points to 41.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 3.87% or 1.49 to $37.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.53% or 1.02 to hit $39.37 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.21% or 15.20 to trade at $1244.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.38% to 10.8460, while USD/MAD rose 0.22% to 9.7850.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 96.56.
