Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU), which rose 6.00% or 63 points to trade at 1113 at the close. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) added 5.26% or 55 points to end at 1100 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) was up 5.22% or 6.90 points to 138.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sothema (CS:SOT), which lost 5.95% or 82 points to trade at 1295 in late trade. Lydec (CS:LYD) declined 5.71% or 30.00 points to end at 495.00 and CDM (CS:CDM) shed 4.34% or 20 points to 440.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.65% or 0.81 to $48.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.42% or 0.71 to hit $49.33 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.45% or 29.65 to trade at $1242.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.62% to 10.9510, while USD/MAD fell 0.98% to 9.6625.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.52% at 94.11.
