Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 5.97% or 7.40 points to trade at 131.35 at the close. Samir (CS:SAMI) added 4.10% or 6.00 points to end at 152.00 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was up 3.70% or 1.44 points to 40.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which lost 5.83% or 14.00 points to trade at 226.00 in late trade. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) declined 4.75% or 59 points to end at 1182 and Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) shed 4.54% or 5.00 points to 105.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.81% or 0.49 to $59.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.53% or 0.34 to hit $63.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1172.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.30% to 10.8540, while USD/MAD fell 0.11% to 9.7049.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.44.
