Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Mining and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lydec (CS:LYD), which rose 6.00% or 29.10 points to trade at 514.10 at the close. Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 5.99% or 2.54 points to end at 44.94 and SMI (CS:SMI) was up 5.99% or 146 points to 2582 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CDM (CS:CDM), which lost 5.99% or 28 points to trade at 440 in late trade. Label Vie (CS:LBV) declined 5.99% or 68 points to end at 1067 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) shed 5.99% or 1.13 points to 17.73.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 19 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.37% or 1.18 to $48.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.42% or 1.24 to hit $50.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.53% or 7.05 to trade at $1319.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.47% to 10.8500, while USD/MAD rose 0.32% to 9.8040.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 96.26.
