Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO), which rose 1.40% or 0.220 points to trade at 15.910 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) added 0.26% or 0.080 points to end at 30.360 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 0.24% or 0.510 points to 211.920 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1), which lost 3.77% or 3.070 points to trade at 78.290 in late trade. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 3.32% or 0.690 points to end at 20.120 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) shed 2.80% or 1.270 points to 44.080.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 87 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $1323.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.53% or 0.72 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.97% or 0.48 to trade at $49.72 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.59% to 19.4913, while EUR/MXN rose 0.61% to 21.8730.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.43.
