Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Materials, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB), which rose 2.32% or 3.920 points to trade at 172.890 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 2.29% or 0.970 points to end at 43.200 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 2.21% or 1.00 points to 46.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 3.69% or 0.720 points to trade at 18.680 in late trade. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) declined 2.47% or 7.890 points to end at 310.950 and Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) shed 2.34% or 0.300 points to 12.450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 74 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.57% or 7.45 to $1288.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.75% or 1.23 to hit $43.55 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.70% or 0.78 to trade at $45.05 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 2.30% to 17.6014, while EUR/MXN rose 2.08% to 20.2574.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 92.95.
