Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italgas SpA (MI:IG), which rose 1.36% or 0.06 points to trade at 4.62 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) added 1.31% or 0.190 points to end at 14.720 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was up 1.20% or 0.120 points to 10.120 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which lost 4.43% or 1.19 points to trade at 25.66 in late trade. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 3.10% or 0.1220 points to end at 3.8080 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) shed 2.96% or 0.092 points to 3.018.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 159 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.68% or 1.89 to $49.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.39% or 1.83 to hit $52.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.17 to trade at $1255.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1218, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8655.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 97.05.
