Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.83% or 54 points to trade at 3010 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 1.41% or 22 points to end at 1583 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 1.35% or 930 points to 69930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which lost 6.02% or 9.3 points to trade at 145.1 in late trade. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 2.39% or 156 points to end at 6358 and Discount (TA:DSCT) shed 2.34% or 19.6 points to 816.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 208 to 183 and 67 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.29% or 0.14 to $48.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.79 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.29% or 27.55 to trade at $1228.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.6290, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 3.8962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.19.
