Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Real Estate and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.46% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.32% or 65 points to trade at 2870 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 1.47% or 23 points to end at 1586 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) was up 1.36% or 50 points to 3735 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TA:MLSR), which lost 2.60% or 530 points to trade at 19820 in late trade. Harel (TA:HARL) declined 2.38% or 48 points to end at 1965 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 2.09% or 175 points to 8195.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 310 to 92 and 33 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.15% or 0.55 to $47.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.79% or 0.40 to hit $50.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.55 to trade at $1255.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.68% to 3.6097, while EUR/ILS rose 0.11% to 3.9288.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 98.87.
