Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 2.32% or 111 points to trade at 4891 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.63% or 250 points to end at 15550 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was up 1.13% or 190 points to 16950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.84% or 19.1 points to trade at 653.0 in late trade. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN) declined 2.12% or 173.00 points to end at 7988.00 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) shed 2.10% or 310 points to 14450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 225 to 114 and 116 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.13% or 1.27 to $58.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.21% or 1.45 to hit $64.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.29% or 15.60 to trade at $1189.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.32% to 3.8834, while EUR/ILS fell 0.37% to 4.2333.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.81% at 97.25.
