Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.80% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 2.21% or 330 points to trade at 15270 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) added 0.90% or 17 points to end at 1910 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 0.88% or 13 points to 1485 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN), which lost 4.08% or 342.00 points to trade at 8036.00 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.58% or 144 points to end at 5429 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) shed 2.42% or 400 points to 16150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 182 to 131 and 144 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.43% or 2.02 to $60.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.72% or 1.80 to hit $68.25 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.76% or 9.00 to trade at $1195.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.8724, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.3319.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 95.19.
