Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which rose 2.78% or 30 points to trade at 1110 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 2.76% or 1680 points to end at 62480 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 2.71% or 5.7 points to 215.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 7.34% or 325 points to trade at 4100 in late trade. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 4.26% or 660 points to end at 14820 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 1.87% or 920 points to 48320.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 180 to 157 and 115 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.22% or 1.27 to $38.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.79% or 1.14 to hit $39.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.50% or 6.10 to trade at $1228.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.02% to 3.8259, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 4.2808.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.98.
