Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN), which rose 2.34% or 183.00 points to trade at 7993.00 at the close. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) added 1.19% or 8.6 points to end at 733.6 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 0.40% or 600 points to 150000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which lost 2.20% or 2500 points to trade at 111200 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 1.58% or 26 points to end at 1619 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 1.53% or 80 points to 5150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 200 to 133 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.25% or 1.22 to $52.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.72% or 1.01 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.90 to trade at $1205.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.48% to 3.9264, while EUR/ILS rose 0.02% to 4.2679.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.70% at 97.55.
