Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 3.16% or 2.3 points to trade at 75.2 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 1.26% or 1300 points to end at 104600 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 2.15% or 33 points to 1567 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 3.28% or 530 points to trade at 15620 in late trade. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 2.81% or 143 points to end at 4937 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.95% or 14.0 points to 703.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 224 to 119 and 114 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.80% or 1.09 to $61.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.84% or 1.25 to hit $68.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.30 to trade at $1188.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.38% to 3.8565, while EUR/ILS rose 1.13% to 4.3788.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.25% at 94.08.
