Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 4.12% or 272 points to trade at 6874 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 4.11% or 650 points to end at 16450 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 1.64% or 2300 points to 142400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 1.85% or 13.8 points to trade at 732.2 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 1.55% or 1700 points to end at 107700 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.32% or 74 points to 5511.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 175 to 161 and 121 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.20% or 0.12 to $58.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.52% or 0.34 to hit $66.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.37% or 28.70 to trade at $1181.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.8636, while EUR/ILS rose 0.67% to 4.3266.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 95.06.
