Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 1.97% or 13.8 points to trade at 715.2 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.37% or 93 points to end at 6862 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.14% or 3.6 points to 319.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 1.91% or 300 points to trade at 15400 in late trade. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 1.05% or 53 points to end at 4978 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.04% or 7.0 points to 665.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 173 to 165 and 116 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.03% or 0.60 to $58.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.35% or 0.86 to hit $64.89 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1210.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.00% to 3.8722, while EUR/ILS fell 0.38% to 4.2996.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 95.61.
