Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.51% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 4.46% or 670 points to trade at 15700 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 4.11% or 267 points to end at 6769 and Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN) was up 3.77% or 305.00 points to 8391.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which lost 1.22% or 360 points to trade at 29250 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.09% or 31 points to end at 2809 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 0.34% or 50 points to 14890.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 239 to 120 and 95 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.86% or 1.72 to $58.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.44% or 1.61 to hit $64.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.53% or 18.80 to trade at $1208.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.64% to 3.8706, while EUR/ILS fell 1.01% to 4.3080.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.35% at 95.50.
