Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 4.52% or 29.0 points to trade at 670.0 at the close. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) added 2.82% or 122 points to end at 4452 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 2.53% or 70 points to 2840 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which lost 2.69% or 820 points to trade at 29610 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 1.43% or 1600 points to end at 110400 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) shed 1.40% or 24 points to 1690.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 229 to 114 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.26% or 0.16 to $60.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.70% or 0.47 to hit $66.34 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1228.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.60% to 3.8327, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 4.3556.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 93.90.
