Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 4.78% or 1100 points to trade at 24090 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 2.78% or 390 points to end at 14400 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was up 2.74% or 219 points to 8225 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 3.97% or 620 points to trade at 15000 in late trade. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 3.54% or 570 points to end at 15540 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 2.22% or 330 points to 14560.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 244 to 99 and 114 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.71% or 1.65 to $59.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.32% or 1.57 to hit $66.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.20 to trade at $1182.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.8629, while EUR/ILS fell 0.41% to 4.3507.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 94.81.
