Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.57% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Teva (TA:TEVA), which rose 2.38% or 560 points to trade at 24050 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) added 2.09% or 340 points to end at 16640 and Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) was up 2.03% or 600 points to 30170 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which lost 2.57% or 128 points to trade at 4850 in late trade. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN) declined 1.11% or 93.00 points to end at 8265.00 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) shed 1.06% or 620 points to 57900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 176 to 148 and 131 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.68% or 1.58 to $60.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.45% or 1.59 to hit $66.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1205.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.8731, while EUR/ILS rose 0.13% to 4.3065.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.44.
