Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.50% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Osem (TA:OSEM), which rose 2.52% or 207 points to trade at 8420 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 2.43% or 137 points to end at 5775 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was up 2.37% or 17.2 points to 744.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TA:MLSR), which lost 2.98% or 470 points to trade at 15280 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 2.13% or 61 points to end at 2799 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) shed 2.03% or 310 points to 14950.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 208 to 154 and 95 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.35% or 0.18 to $51.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.63% or 0.37 to hit $59.32 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.40 to trade at $1199.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.9899, while EUR/ILS fell 0.22% to 4.2189.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 99.81.
