Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.54% or 90 points to trade at 3637 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 1.91% or 650 points to end at 34750 and Teva (TA:TEVA) was up 1.02% or 170 points to 16780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 1.65% or 340 points to trade at 20210 in late trade. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 0.98% or 36 points to end at 3634 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) shed 0.70% or 43 points to 6110.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 189 to 149 and 106 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.07% or 0.54 to $49.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.28% or 0.66 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.64% or 8.05 to trade at $1271.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.8494, while EUR/ILS fell 0.28% to 4.1804.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 98.98.
