Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 1.77% or 13.2 points to trade at 759.0 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.62% or 300 points to end at 18800 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 1.51% or 1020 points to 68770 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 3.10% or 120 points to trade at 3748 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 1.33% or 980 points to end at 72500 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 1.03% or 160 points to 15340.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 190 to 145 and 108 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.16% or 1.05 to $49.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.91% or 0.95 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.90 to trade at $1248.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.52% to 3.8245, while EUR/ILS fell 0.50% to 4.3483.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 93.93.
