Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.20% or 46 points to trade at 3885 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 0.95% or 150 points to end at 16000 and International (TA:FTIN) was up 0.85% or 40 points to 4756 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 1.09% or 720 points to trade at 65300 in late trade. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 0.99% or 60 points to end at 6016 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) shed 0.91% or 150 points to 16380.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 146 and 99 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.99% or 0.87 to $44.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 0.89 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.48% or 6.25 to trade at $1316.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.7738, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.2210.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.69.
