Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.40% or 101 points to trade at 4316 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) added 1.71% or 33 points to end at 1960 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.35% or 3.1 points to 232.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which lost 2.38% or 83 points to trade at 3408 in late trade. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 1.91% or 290 points to end at 14900 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.70% or 15.2 points to 880.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 140 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.49% or 0.20 to $41.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.27% or 0.11 to hit $41.31 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.61% or 7.70 to trade at $1246.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.8513, while EUR/ILS fell 0.16% to 4.3370.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.21.
