Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 6.79% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.173 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.26% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.2410 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 5.02% or 0.011 points to 0.230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 3.05% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.270 in late trade. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 2.24% or 0.220 points to end at 9.590 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) shed 2.18% or 0.005 points to 0.224.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 67 to 51 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.11% or 1.29 to $1222.99 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.35% or 1.06 to hit $46.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.18% or 1.04 to trade at $48.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.1401, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8804.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 95.71.
