Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 10.92% or 0.057 points to trade at 0.579 at the close. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) added 6.80% or 0.046 points to end at 0.722 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was up 3.68% or 0.023 points to 0.648 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 4.96% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.115 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.60% or 0.011 points to end at 0.228 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) shed 4.21% or 0.011 points to 0.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 29 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.62% or 7.66 to $1241.36 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.70% or 0.32 to hit $46.34 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.36 to trade at $48.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.82% to 1.1572, while EUR/GBP rose 1.01% to 0.8880.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 94.35.
