Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Travel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr), which rose 3.30% or 0.37 points to trade at 11.57 at the close. Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 2.76% or 0.120 points to end at 4.470 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 2.46% or 0.07 points to 2.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which lost 5.81% or 0.051 points to trade at 0.827 in late trade. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 4.88% or 0.002 points to end at 0.039 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) shed 4.55% or 0.080 points to 1.680.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 59 to 40 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.09% or 1.10 to $1246.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $50.20 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.08 to trade at $53.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.0694, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8542.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 100.21.
