Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Construction and Retail sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which rose 9.97% or 0.072 points to trade at 0.794 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 8.28% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.1700 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) was up 6.29% or 0.020 points to 0.338 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which lost 8.38% or 1.11 points to trade at 12.13 in late trade. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 8.38% or 0.015 points to end at 0.164 and Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) shed 3.45% or 0.040 points to 1.120.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 46 to 45 and 25 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.54% or 6.65 to $1218.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $53.36 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.23% or 0.13 to trade at $56.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.0575, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 101.77.
