Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Retail sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 1.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Reds (AT:CAMr), which rose 9.94% or 0.034 points to trade at 0.376 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 8.57% or 0.030 points to end at 0.380 and A.S. Company (AT:ASCr) was up 7.49% or 0.025 points to 0.359 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Euro Reliance (AT:EREr), which lost 11.90% or 0.25 points to trade at 1.85 in late trade. Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) declined 9.82% or 0.0490 points to end at 0.4500 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) shed 5.43% or 0.1400 points to 2.4500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.07% or 0.85 to $1222.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $49.40 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.23 to trade at $49.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1178, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.7620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.22.
