Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr), which rose 17.54% or 0.600 points to trade at 4.020 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 11.70% or 0.011 points to end at 0.105 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 7.46% or 0.0580 points to 0.8350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 19.80% or 0.079 points to trade at 0.320 in late trade. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 1.88% or 0.009 points to end at 0.471 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) shed 1.75% or 0.020 points to 1.140.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 59 to 34 and 26 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.96% or 11.85 to $1224.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.80% or 0.97 to hit $52.89 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.01% or 1.14 to trade at $55.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.0607, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8484.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.97.
