Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Household, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.57% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 9.54% or 0.062 points to trade at 0.712 at the close. Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 4.64% or 0.160 points to end at 3.610 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 4.08% or 0.004 points to 0.102 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 7.69% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.144 in late trade. Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) declined 5.25% or 0.260 points to end at 4.690 and Korres (AT:KRRr) shed 2.60% or 0.080 points to 3.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 47 to 37 and 28 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.40 to $1258.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.78% or 0.40 to hit $50.95 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.85% or 0.45 to trade at $52.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1064, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.9036.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 97.51.
