Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 22.73% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.270 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) added 8.28% or 0.056 points to end at 0.732 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was up 6.48% or 0.33 points to 5.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr), which lost 7.01% or 0.54 points to trade at 7.16 in late trade. Attica Bank (AT:BOAr) declined 5.80% or 0.004 points to end at 0.065 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) shed 5.44% or 0.021 points to 0.365.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 52 to 30 and 2 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.18% or 2.20 to $1220.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.73% or 0.44 to hit $60.06 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $67.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1368, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.7216.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 93.66.
