PARIS (Reuters) - It is a priority of France to secure the financial stability of the country's struggling IT and software company Atos, said French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal on Wednesday.
Attal added that Atos' cybersecurity and super-computing activities had to remain under French control and that the government was currently assessing through which legal means it could make sure this will be the case going forward.
France had already said last month that it would protect the strategic assets of Atos after planemaker Airbus pulled the plug on a deal to buy the ailing French IT conglomerate's cybersecurity assets.
