Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG), which rose 0.07% or 0.20 points to trade at 289.80 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 0.02% or 0.1 points to end at 409.0 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 0.05% or 0.2 points to 383.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which lost 2.87% or 14.5 points to trade at 490.0 in late trade. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) declined 1.81% or 6.8 points to end at 369.4 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) shed 1.67% or 11.5 points to 678.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 32 and 13 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.37% or 1.07 to $46.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.05% or 0.98 to hit $48.77 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1223.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.55% to 6.5162, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4364.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 95.64.
