Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Real Estate and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which rose 4.44% or 27.0 points to trade at 634.5 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.42% or 40.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 2.05% or 8.8 points to 437.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which lost 1.29% or 3.1 points to trade at 237.9 in late trade. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 0.84% or 1.1 points to end at 130.0 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) shed 0.11% or 1.0 points to 907.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 36 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.21% or 1.10 to $48.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.34% or 1.20 to hit $50.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.56% or 7.45 to trade at $1319.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.48% to 6.7184, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4388.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 96.21.
