Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.05% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.67% or 9.4 points to trade at 265.8 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) added 1.48% or 10.0 points to end at 683.5 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 1.13% or 4.0 points to 357.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG), which lost 1.80% or 4.90 points to trade at 268.00 in late trade. Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) declined 1.49% or 4.5 points to end at 297.7 and Nets A/S (CO:NETS) shed 0.64% or 0.80 points to 124.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 46 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.75% or 0.87 to $48.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.72% or 0.90 to hit $51.51 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1266.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.27% to 6.8423, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4387.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.04.
