Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.81% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 3.74% or 51.0 points to trade at 1413.0 at the close. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) added 3.18% or 1.22 points to end at 39.53 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 2.75% or 10.8 points to 403.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nets A/S (CO:NETS), which lost 0.23% or 0.30 points to trade at 132.80 in late trade. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) declined 0.17% or 1.0 points to end at 588.5 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 0.04% or 0.1 points to 248.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 46 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.48% or 1.23 to $48.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.53% or 1.32 to hit $50.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.44 to trade at $1267.54 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.39% to 6.6248, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 96.97.
