Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Chemicals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.95% or 190 points to trade at 9940 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.77% or 180 points to end at 10340 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 1.41% or 5.7 points to 409.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which lost 0.88% or 4.5 points to trade at 507.0 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 0.37% or 0.14 points to end at 37.66 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) shed 0.12% or 1.0 points to 832.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 52 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.36% or 1.04 to $45.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.64% or 0.77 to hit $47.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.21% or 2.80 to trade at $1330.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.08% to 6.6720, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4402.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 95.73.
