Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 3.12% or 9.3 points to trade at 307.8 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) added 1.64% or 1.00 points to end at 62.15 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was up 1.51% or 2.8 points to 188.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 2.60% or 30.0 points to trade at 1126.0 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 0.87% or 5.5 points to end at 625.0 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) shed 0.84% or 3.4 points to 403.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 64 and 12 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.04% or 1.46 to $46.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.90% or 0.95 to hit $49.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.13% or 15.25 to trade at $1330.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.40% to 6.6102, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4435.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 94.75.
